Jazz singer, pianist to perform with WOU’s Metropole Orchestra

Tickets are on sale now for the Dec. 2 performance by the Western Hemisphere Orchestra with jazz singer Nancy King and pianist/composer Steve Christofferson.
It will be at 7:30 p.m. in Rice Auditorium, Western Oregon University.

The duo will perform arrangements written especially for King by the renowned Metropole Orchestra of the Netherlands.

King is known for her incredible range and improvisational skills. Christofferson is respected for his imaginative improvisational style and collaboration with some of the world’s top jazz artists.

The two have toured the world, performing with top jazz artists like Karrin Allyson, Kurt Elling, Elvis Costello and Jim Pepper.

Tickets are $5 general, $3 students and seniors, free for those under 18 and for WOU students with ID. Call (503) 838-8275.
