Little Rascalz, a vocal duo with 2010 West Albany High School graduates Trey Kenyon and Michael Shogren, will open Thursday evening for Andy Grammer and Eugene band Rootdown at the McDonald Theatre in Eugene.
Little Rascalz takes the stage at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $10.47. The concert, presented by Eugene-Springfield FM radio station KDUK 104.7, is a benefit for Food for Lane County
The duo was featured in a KDUK interview last Thursday. Kenyon and Shogren will appear in another live KDUK interview at 7:20 a.m. this Thursday.
Kenyon is a sophomore at Oregon State University. Shogren is a sophomore at Western Oregon University.
Little Rascalz’s song, “Doctor DJ,” was pitted again Rootdown’s song, “Golden,” in the station’s NU2U! online voting contest that started last Thursday. As of 4 p.m. Tuesday, “Doctor DJ” had garnered 81.3 percent of the votes to 18.6 percent for “Golden.”
“Doctor DJ” will be featured in another NU2U! online contest this week.
“Things are going great,” Kenyon said.
