My Favorite Place To Study

With Shakespeare, Frost, and Austen as my witness, I have done the majority of my homework behind the poetry section of the library. Knowing the way my brain works, I knew I would need somewhere away from all the new friends I could be making, somewhere I can get actual schoolwork done. In my first few weeks here, I discovered the 3rd floor of the library!

3rd Floor is where work gets done!

Pro: The 3rd floor is a Quiet Floor! That means people can’t be talking while they are on this floor, which means there won’t be any temptation for me to go make friends!

Con: ANY noise made sounds like an explosion.

Pro: The 3rd floor holds ALL THE POETRY!!!!!!!

Con: The 3rd floor holds all the POETRY! 🙂

Besides all the poetry, the 3rd floor, like the rest of the library has wonderful areas for studying!

Group work area in front of large windows
I love reading by these big windows and group work is easier with one big table for us all to sit together

Like this group studying area with comfy chairs and big tables for group work!

Comfy chairs for reading!
Comfy chairs for reading!

Or maybe you’d prefer just a nice couch to lounge on while you read a book! Maybe a poetry book?! 🙂

Cubicle style desks help students not get distracted
Need to stay focused? Put in some headphones and get lost in one of these babies!

These cubicle style desks really help me stay focused! When I have a lot of work I need to get done and not a lot of time to do it, I park myself into one of these desks and I don’t emerge until it is all done! This method is what works for me, it may not work for everyone but it is all worth a try!
