St. Baldrick’s Fundraiser

Yellow flags representing the millions of Jewish lives lost.

St. Baldrick’s! Not everyone has heard of it but if you go to WOU then you definitely should familiarize yourself with it!

Every year St. Baldrick’s is the event that is hosted by the Residence Hall Association Executive Board! This year the event is taking place on March 14th in the Willamette Room in the Werner University Center.

This event is where students, faculty, teachers, community members and people alike grow their hair out and raise funds so that on the actual event they shave their head! 577060_10151562957223899_1329158194_n

This is such a wonderful and impacting day for everyone who participates. These wonderful people who commit themselves to shaving their head and changing their lives so that they can make a connection with those children who have no choice about their lives.

The money raised at this event completely goes to the St. Baldrick’s foundation for childhood cancer research! Last year this event raised over 8,000 dollars and they are hoping to reach that number again and possibly go beyond that! 901561_10151579560648899_1340388331_o

If you are interested in shaving your head at this event you can sign up here or if you have any questions at feel free to email Brandon Hunt who is in charge of the entire event at

I personally ran the event last year and boy was it an amazing experience! I hope you get involved whether you watch or actually shave your head! It’s an experience you will not have anywhere else! Make sure to go and watch the amazing! Remember it’s better to commit to it now and start fundraising so you can raise as much money for this amazing cause as you can!
