Next week, May 5th-9th is Diversity Week here on campus.
We’ll kick it off this Friday, May 2nd with International Night in the WUC at 5:30pm: come join in an amazing opportunity to learn about other cultures and traditions.
Monday, May 5th
11am-3pm: LGBTQ Resource Fair. Stop by the Willamette Room in the WUC to see different resources our campus offers for the LGBTQ community.
Wednesday, May 7th
4pm-6pm: Fruitvale Station (co-sponsored by BSU). Come to the Willamette Room in the WUC to watch the movie, based off a true story of the shooting in Oakland, California.
7:30pm: An evening with Paul Ducharme. In the Willamette Room in the WUC, Paul Ducharme, from Seattle, will be talking about his experiences as a Deaf-blind man.
Thursday, May 8th
In the WUC: Participate in the NOH8 campaign, which started after Proposition 8 took away marriage rights in California.
Friday, May 9th
6pm-8pm: Hunger Awareness Dinner. Come to the WUC Summit for a meal and to learn about the world and food insecurities.
10pm-2am: Pantry Dropper Dance. In the WUC Pacific Room, you can pay $1 to attend a spectacular dance: all proceeds go to WOU’s Food Pantry.
