I just finished my last final of my five classes and I am definitely looking forward to kick back and relax for a couple weeks. I will be taking 2 summer classes but I will still have time to explore and do a majority of the things I want to do. I have one more year left before I graduate and probably not be able to do a lot of things I usually get to do so I gotta make this Summer count.
Some of the things I plan to do this Summer include:
One of my Summer goals ever since I was in high school was to read one good book every summer. I usually read something science-fiction related, I think this Summer I might try and tackle the Game of Thrones series. It’s a great TV Show, why not.
I’m also a huge comic book connoisseur so I really want to catch up on some good series. I lean more towards the DC Comics side so I might look at Superman, Batman family, Green Lantern or Justice League and so many others!
During the school year I completely invest my time in school and my studies and almost completely fall behind on some of my favorite new games. During the Summer, I make up for lost time. If you were wondering, I’m an Xbox guy… but I got nothing but respect for team Playstation.
Not a lot of people know this about me but I have been taking German Language classes these last two years. My goal for NEXT Summer is to travel to Germany and experience the culture first hand but only a few hours drive from my hometown (Woodburn) is a small Bavarian styled, German speaking town called Leavenworth in Washington and It would be pretty cool to visit and see what kinds of things they have there. Especially towards Oktoberfest time.
In southern Oregon, I have a really good friend I haven’t seen since he graduated last year who lives there and it would be great to see what they do over there for fun and to definitely catch up.
What’s Summer without a beach trip? Not a very good one in my opinion. I definitely want to go and hang out on the beach with some friends maybe start up a campfire and make some s’mores. I can’t wait!
One of my families longest traditions is to go out, turn all our technology off, set up camp, play some sports and bond. Something all my siblings and I look forward to is camping with my parents and making memories.
Just thinking about this Summer makes me happy and hopefully I will get to do most of these things. Most important I’m going to take this time to relax and try new things before it’s too late, Until next time.
