WOU professor’s art on exhibit in Monmouth

“Fabric(s) of Memory — New Works by Paula Portinga Booth,” sponsored by the Ash Creek Arts Center, is on exhibit through Oct. 4 at the ACAC Gallery at MaMere’s New Orleans Bed and Breakfast, 212 Knox St. N, Monmouth. There will be a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Sept. 18.

Portinga Booth is a mixed-media artist. She runs Western Oregon University’s Cannon Gallery of Art and teaches in the art department. The exhibit features mixed-media paintings in which she incorporates generational photos, fabrics and stories. The exhibit is open by appointment only.
