Take a hike…

Silver Falls State Park is a beautiful area with waterfalls, hiking and biking trails, and campgrounds for the adventurous. It’s the largest state park in Oregon (over 9,000 acres!) and it’s only a 45 minute drive from Monmouth! One day-use pass costs $5.

See a movie…

Ever been to a drive-in movie before? Me neither. Fortunately Dallas is home to the historic Motor Vu Drive-In, built in 1953. Stay tuned, as the theater will be opening for the summer season April 3rd!

Go to the park…

For a stroll along the Willamette River, head to Riverfront Park. The park features an amphitheater, historic carousel, and bike trails.

Check out Minto-Brown Island Park for over 800 acres of paved trails, open and wooded areas, picnic and play areas, plus an off-leash dog park.

If you like to play disc golf, then head to the Dallas City Park for an 18-hole disc golf course. The park is located next to a creek, complete with a swimming hole, and also has BBQ pits, fireplaces, and horseshoe pits.

Play some games…

Call ahead to reserve a table at Venti’s for Trivia Night, Mondays from 9:00-11:00 PM.  For 21+, this is a great way to test your knowledge on different categories, enjoy tasty beer and food, and compete for prizes!

If you like arcade games, then head to The Coin Jam in Salem for tons of arcade games, pinball machines, drivers, shooters, and fighters. Stop by on Thursday nights for Nights Out/Lights Out to bask in the glow of the machines and enjoy discounted drinks!

Get artsy…

Create your own unique pottery at The Pottery Place in Albany. The shop offers pre-made items that you can paint and fire or lets you start from scratch with a ball of clay!
