Want to work with us?

The WOU Newsflash Street Team is looking for new members. If you’re passionate about WOU, social media and writing – this position may be for you. Newsflash is a group of paid students who work with the Media Relations and Social Media Office on campus to help tell the university’s story via social media and the Web. Students on the team write blogs posts and articles, create content for the main university social media accounts, take pictures at campus events, and more.

Team members work about 10 hours per week, which includes in-office time during business hours in The Cottage and some evenings and weekends to cover events. You’ll work closely with the university’s communications staff and get a great deal of real-world communications experience within higher education.

Applicants should be strong writers and communicators. Send an email to Lisa Catto (cattol@wou.edu) with a cover letter expressing your interest and related experience or any questions you have about the position.
