2015-16 Smith Fine Arts Series

Interested in watching a concert? Want to engage in a community outreach program? Attend a picnic? Enjoy music and dance? The Smith Fine Arts Series provides all of that and more to the Monmouth community.

The Smith Fine Arts Series brings world-class entertainment to Western Oregon University each year. Currently celebrating its 39th season, the series showcases a variety of talented musicians and dancers in Rice Auditorium.

On Friday, October 2, the Smith Fine Arts Series opens its 2015-2016 season with Groove for Thought at 7:30 p.m. Groove for Thought features seven singers, combining elements of jazz and pop music. General tickets are $25 in advance and $28 at the door. Student tickets are $11 and WOU students gain free admission with a valid I.D.

Other artists in the 2015-16 season includes chamber group 3 Leg Torso (October 9), contemporary dance group BodyVox (January 8), folk trio Ten Strings and a Goat Skin (January 15),  jazz vocalist Sara Gazarek with the American Metropole Orchestra (April 8), and trumpet player Sean Jones with the Western Hemisphere Orchestra (June 3).
