There are so many things that excite me about a new year here at WOU. I’m an upperclassman now, so it’s almost like I’m a real adult. I have more responsibilities, but most importantly more opportunities. Here’s just a little bit about what I am looking forward to in this coming year: (besides watching the Yankees miraculously get that 28th world series ring… it’s gonna happen.)

 

Taking more classes related to my major: I am just now seeing the light at the end of the tunnel that is fulfilling LACC requirements. My schedule this term is full of classes that relate to my major which is communication studies. I am beyond excited to explore this field and get a better understanding of the direction I want to take my degree post-grad.

 

Spending time with my amazing group of friends: In my last 2.5 years as a WOU student, I have gained so many friendships that I wouldn’t trade for the world. The group of friends that I have currently will be lifelong friends–that I am sure of. With intramurals fast approaching I would like to warn you all that VOLLEYBRAWL is the team to beat… ;). I know that this is just another year full of laughs and love with my favorite people, my squad ♥

 

Concerts: Concerts are my happy place, so I will be attending as many as possible in the upcoming year. I love country music, but I listen to a little bit of everything. One of my highlights from this summer is meeting Luke Bryan so I really don’t know how that one can be topped…

 

Being a member of the Newsflash Team: As a brand new member, I am ready to dive headfirst into learning all about the newsflash team and what we do here on campus. I am a communications major with a real passion for social media so I have no doubt in my mind that I am right where I need to be. I am ready to expand my knowledge of social media outreach as well as become more involved on campus.
