WOU Theater and Dance Department present “Cabaret”

Got plans for the weekend? Looking for entertainment right on campus? The Western Oregon University Theater and Dance Department is putting on its second week of “Cabaret!”

This show is being performed by WOU Students and directed by Dr. Michael Phillips. The shows runs March 3-5 at 7:30 p.m. in Rice Auditorium.

Bases in 1930s Berlin, “Cabaret” tells the story of American writer Clifford Bradshaw and Sally Bowles, a cabaret performer in the Kit Kat Club. The romantic tale is set during the Nazi Party’s rise to power in Germany.“Cabaret” has won 12 Tony Awards and eight Academy Awards, and has been adapted to film and print. “Cabaret” contains mature subject matter and may not be appropriate for younger audiences.

Tickets can be purchased through the box office at Rice Auditorium (503-838-8462). They are $12 for general admission, $7 for students and $10 for seniors.
