The WOU Music Department will be putting on six concerts from March 6-11 featuring everything from bossa nova to the Beatles!
Tonight Orquestra Brasil presents “Mostly Bossa Nova” and tomorrow the WOU Concert Choir and Chamber Singers will present “From the Heart/Love and Devotion.” If you like the Beatles, then you’ll definitely want to see the Western Hemisphere Voices as they sing “Because…the Beatles.” For classical music lovers there is the Western Oregon Symphony on Wednesday night and the Western Oregon Winds & WOU Percussion Ensemble on Thursday night. Finally, the Western Hemisphere Orchestra presents “Funk, Fusion and Freedom” on Friday night, which features the music of Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin, and Earth, Wind and Fire.
