Registration for “Your World at WOU” ends next Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 5 p.m., but what is “Your World at WOU”? This is a free campus visitation program that allows prospective students to attend information sessions and get a chance to look around the WOU campus. Some of the sessions include Financial Aid and Scholarships, Undergraduate Teacher Education Program, and University Housing. This is a great time to come and get all your questions answered about the university, paying for college, and get a look at what life on campus is really like. If you’ve never been to the WOU campus, this also gives you a great chance to look at the residence halls and start thinking about where you might want to live as a freshman at WOU.
Your day will start at 8:30 a.m. to check-in on the second floor of the Werner University Center. This is your chance to turn in your application for Fall 2017 admission. High school seniors and transfer students wish to apply for admission while on campus need to make sure they have a few items:
- A completed application
- $60 admission application fee or Request for Deferral of Application Fee Form
- Official transcripts
- A letter of recommendation
Those students who bring the documents listed above, will receive their admission status at the end of the day on Friday. SAT/ ACT scores are optional for high school seniors, but are required to be considered for the Presidential Scholarship.
After check-in there will be a welcome presentation from 9:00-9:30 a.m. The next part of the day is for exploratory sessions. Four sessions will be featured in each set, giving you the chance to visit two different sessions of your choice. Following these sessions will be tours of campus and the residence halls. At 12:40 p.m. lunch will be provided for students and their guests who attended the program.
This event is next Friday, Oct. 14, so don’t miss your chance to attend by registering before Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 5 p.m.! The event registration can be found here!
