WOU is comprised of many departments, all working together to ensure that students are well supported and the university continues to run smoothly. One of these departments is the university’s Business Office, located in room 101 in the Lieuallen Administration Building (next to ITC).
One of the biggest misunderstandings about the Business Office is that many people believe that they also include financial aid. WOU actually has a dedicated Financial Aid office (keep an eye out for an upcoming Financial Aid Office feature!). The Business Office is dedicated to serving students, staff, faculty members, and the general public. Some of the services they provide include student accounts, private scholarships, accounts receivable, collections, and third-party billing.
Here are a couple of the Business Office’s most frequently asked questions:
Q: When are tuition and fees due?
Q: What happens when you do not make your payment/deferment?
A: If you have not paid 1/3 or placed a deferment on your account by the due date, you will be assessed a late fee of $100.
You can see the rest of the Business Office’s FAQs here.
The Business Office has many valuable resources on their website, one of which is the option to check out projected tuition prices for this year. Just head to the tuition calculator and fill in your information to get your estimated tuition.
Noticed an unexplained course fee on your account? Here’s a guide to what courses have a special fee.
Students might encounter a Business Office hold on their account prior to registration, which likely means they need to fill out a Revolving Charge Account Contract. Make sure you head down to the Business Office if you see this hold, and the staff will work with you to ensure you have everything you need in order to register! You can also call them at 503-838-8201 or email email@example.com for help.
The Business Office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m, with alternate hours on Wednesdays, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
