Live Q&A Summary: July 2

WOU has been hosting weekly live Q&A sessions for current and incoming students on our Instagram and Facebook accounts every Thursday at 10 a.m. since March. For summer, we’ve shifting to every other week and will be posting summaries of common questions during our off weeks. These questions are from the Q&A session on July 2, 2020.

Are students coming back to campus after fall term?
At this time, winter and spring terms are expected to operate as normal. The class schedules released for registration for those terms will indicate delivery method for each course. If anything changes for those terms, we will be sure to communicate that widely.

Will students be able to live in the residence halls in fall?
Yes, students will be able to live in the residence halls. We are planning for one student per room, with a small number of doubles available for people who request a specific roommate. You can learn more about the housing scenarios and on the Housing site there’s even more details.

Will online classes cost more than in-person?
Undergrads will be assessed tuition based on residency, not course delivery method. The difference is with fees. Online courses will not have campus fees but will have a $53 per credit online course fee. In-person and hybrid courses will have campus fees.

What size are the beds in the residence halls?
All beds in the residence halls are twin XL.
