The WOU Community Health + Polk County COVID-19 Project members were busy in December. They participated in several outreach activities to promote COVID-19 prevention and health and wellbeing for families in Polk County.

They supported COVID-19 testing events at the Polk County Fair Grounds and packed 800 family COVID-19 thrive kits that were delivered to organizations serving low-income families in the county. In addition to these in-person outreach activities, they’ve released a newsletter in English and Spanish with health tips and information, as well as a bilingual list of local resources to help individuals and families.
